About Me. . .

I'm a single, 18 year old woman from Missouri, USA.
I've been a musician since I was six years old studying both piano and flute. For a while I tried violin too, but it wasn't for me. I've also tried horseback riding, gymnastics, ballet, and jogging. The latter is the only activity of which I am a regular participant. My busy schedule leaves room for little else!
I am self-employed as an Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics and a PartyLite Consultant. On top of that I enjoy going out with friends and those who have become more than friends (those are a precious few!). I just recently moved out on my own, I think it was about a month before my
eighteenth birthday. I am often asked if that was the smartest move I could have made, and I am forced to admit it was one of my worst ideas yet. But I believe that everything happens for a reason and, as the old saying goes, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger! I've been told that in the short time I've been completely
self-supporting until now I have grown at an incredible rate emotionally.

About My "Children". . .
|
My family consists of a cat: Oscar, and 3 fish: Michael, Pepe, and Beso. We have a peaceful household now that Oscar's sushi bar is closed. (We had a bit of a problem with that when Oscar was first adopted: there used to be 6 fish.)
My parents have accepted that grandchildren are and will always be a figment of their imaginations. They are now resigned to buying gifts for their "grandcat." They claim that I'll want children when I'm older, but right now I'm quite content with a cat.

Most of my time and interest is taken up by my businesses. Both are enjoyable and seem more like hobbies than jobs because I am able to choose with whom I work, when/how much I work, and the dollar amount I want to make. I spend my days shopping, socializing, and playing music. My mother, also a Mary Kay Consultant, and I do lunch a few times a week. I'm 18 years old and feel as if I lead a complete, wholesome life. I'm in good physical condition and am one of the few women I know who actually likes her appearance!
If this whole page seems like a bit of a brag sheet there's a very good reason for that. I am proud of myself. I don't think I know many other 18 year olds with the same responsibilities and demands upon her shoulders. I love my life and am quite happy to say so! In today's world it almost seems wrong to like what one does and the way one lives; if it is wrong, then I enjoy my incorrect existance!
